Apologies for yesterday's streaking pitch invaders who delayed the kick-off. Frostpunk and Two Point were finally caught and escorted from the premises before God of War and Battlefield V could launch into each other. All's well that ends well though, and God of War gave BFV an absolute tonking. It's our first finalist, now it's time to crown our next semi-final winner as RDR2 takes on Far Cry 5.

How the community voting works

Each day at 17:00 GMT two titles will battle each other. Whichever title receives the most votes in the poll wins, and will then go through to the next round. 12 games in total will be battling away, and the first six rounds will take place from today and over the next five days - one battle per day. The six games that win will make it through to the semi-finals, where three further 1v1 fights will take place. The winners of these three battles will then make it to the three-way final to decide the ultimate game this Christmas.

Each bout will last 23 hours, and the winner is whichever game receives the most votes in the poll, which can be found towards the bottom of each article.

Semi-Final: Fight 2 - Red Dead Redemption 2 v Far Cry 5

Today, Red Dead Redemption 2 faces probably its largest test if it isn't going to steamroll the competition. If you're not a fan of Red Dead you're going to need to make your voices heard loud and clear if you want it to be toppled. Last week's fight against Assassin's Creed Odyssey was surprisingly close so there is definitely a chance for Far Cry 5 if it gather enough support.

There's a reason why RDR2 is the bookie's favourite for the 12 Games of Christmas though. It's been nothing less than a phenomenon, shifting millions upon millions of units on the back of its massive single-player campaign with an epic story. The less said about the shoddy multiplayer the better though.

For those after a more all-round package, Far Cry 5 is definitely a strong alternative. Far Cry 5 offers plenty of options for solo players, co-op shenanigans, and PvP wackiness. There's something for just about everyone in Far Cry 5, weaving its tale of religious cults, the end of times, honey badgers and porch-dwelling hicks.

Get voting below for your winner, and remember to check back tomorrow for the third Semi-Final of the 12 Games of Christmas, where Kingdom Come: Deliverance will go up against Frostpunk to earn the last place in the Grand Final. The winner of today's competition will face the winner of yesterday's face-off in the Final on 20th December!
