UPDATE: Well that didn't take long. Intrepid modders have already figured out a way to bypass the 30-minute time limit it the Resident Evil 2 Remake PC demo. The RE2 One Shot Trainer removes the time restrictions and allows unlimited access to the Racoon City Police Department portion of Resi Evil 2.

However, it goes without saying that you use this hack at your own risk. It's unclear at the moment just how shady this thing is. Users are reporting it's working and that it's safer than a Steam Achievement Manager hack that could potentially result in a VAC ban.

Our advice would be to use this trainer on a dummy Steam account that you don't mind losing access to.

The RE2 One-Shot Demo Unlock Trainer can be downloaded directly from here (at your own risk), including install instructions. You will need a fresh account that has yet to play the Resident Evil 2 Remake demo in order for the trainer to work.

For those who've given it a shot already, how are you finding the Resident Evil 2 remake? How is the performance? Let us know!

UPDATE: 09-Jan-2019 - Resident Evil 2 Remake '1-Shot' Demo Out on Friday - 30 Minutes, No Second Chances

Just as expected, Capcom has announced the Resident Evil 2 '1-Shot Demo', coming to all the game's platforms this coming Friday.

The remake of Capcom's classic survival horror game is easily one of the most anticipated releases this year, and we'll have the opportunity to go hands-on with Resident Evil 2 Remake on January 11th, when the 1-Shot Demo will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Sadly, it's actually a little rare that we even get demos these days with publishers seemingly terrified to actually let anyone get hands-on before launch.

The Resident Evil 2 Remake demo will be the same one that press have been getting hands-on with since the E3 reveal in 2018. Players will be able to explore the iconic Racoon City Police Department and can make as much progress in RE2 as they feasibly can within 30 minutes.

Bizarrely, you literally have one shot at this demo. Repeatedly die and you may end up seeing very little of the game, but quick and careful players should be able to complete the mission objective.  No pressure then. At the end of the demo, players will be shown a new trailer for Resident Evil 2 remake.

Ahead of Friday's demo launch, do be sure to check out RE2: Remake's PC system requirements to ensure your rig's up to scratch. Once the demo is out, do be sure to add your benchmark results to GD, it all helps makes the tools as accurate as possible!

Original Story: 20-Dec-2018 - It Looks as if We're Getting a Resident Evil 2 Remake Demo Very Soon

The honour of being the first massive game release of 2019 is set to fall Resident Evil 2 Remake’s way. For a remake of a 20-year-old game it’s certainly got folks frothing at the mouths like hungry lickers.

We could be set to get our first taste of Resident Evil 2 HD very soon indeed though. True Achievements has discovered data concerning a Resident Evil 2 Remake on the Microsoft Store, indicating Capcom is prepping the back-end for a demo release.

According to the store page for the Resident Evil 2 demo, players will have 30 minutes of play time in which to complete the demo. You can die as many times as you want, but after 30 minutes you’ll be whisked back to the start. It sounds like a one-shot sort of thing, and the faster you are, the more of Resident Evil 2 you can potentially see.

“This specially tuned demo allows you to experience the newly reimagined Resident Evil 2, but be warned: whilst you can continue as many times as you like after dying, you’ll only have 30 MINUTES to complete the demo. Take in the horror atmosphere at your own pace, or make a desperate dash to solve all the puzzles Raccoon Police Department has to offer? The choice is yours!”

RE2 Remake is easily among my top five most anticipated games of 2019 so I’m personally itching to give this demo a shot. Capcom appears to have gone all-in on this remake, providing a massive visual upgrade, new story content and even entirely new areas to explore.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 25th.
