Cult favourite JRPG series The Legend of Heroes is finally set to unleash Trails of Cold Steel III in the west. NIS America has confirmed it’ll be publishing The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 in North America and Europe, where it’ll be available on PlayStation 4.
Oddly, there’s no word yet on a PC version of Trails of Cold Steel III but it seems like a given considering that’s become the de facto home for this franchise once the PS Vita met its untimely demise. Whatever the case, we don’t reckon the PC version is going to be fair behind.
LoH: Trails of Cold Steel 3 will include both Japanese and English audio as well as English and French text options. The game itself continues directly on from the events of Trails of Cold Steel II, so tread carefully to avoid any spoilers if you haven’t got around to the first two games yet.
“Trails of Cold Steel III invites players into a world full of intrigue and excitement that is years in the making,” says NISA. “They will embark on a whirlwind tour through the never-before-seen lands of the recently expanded Erebonian countryside, and encounter fresh faces as well as old friends familiar to fans of the series. In true Trails fashion, the deep, engaging story pairs with an incredible cast of characters and a combat system refined over decades of innovative RPG worldbuilding. This renowned title has also now been developed natively for PlayStation 4 hardware, a series first.”
Trails of Cold Steel III is out in Q3 2019 for PS4.
