In typically late form for Koei Tecmo, the system requirements for Dead or Alive 6 have been revealed just three days ahead of its March 1st launch on PC. DOA6 is another unmistakeably Japanese 3D fighting game with multi-tiered stages and grappling-centric combat. It's not going to go easy on your system though, here are the DOA6 PC system specs.

Dead or Alive 6 Minimum System Requirements

Dead or Alive 6 Recommended System Requirements

  • RAM: 16 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 6 GB Video Memory

  • DX: DirectX 12

Koei Tecmo hasn't exactly endeared itself to PC fans over the years with some dodgy ports. Just recently, Dynasty Warriors 9 was a bit of a travesty on PC with widespread performance issues, and those system specs for DW9 were much lower than these for DOA6. Tread very carefully with Dead or Alive 6, basically, and our advice would be to wait and hear about performance before dropping the cash.

Back on topic, and these system requirements for Dead or Alive 6 feature ludicrously high CPU demands. Quite why it's recommended you have a 6-core i7-8700 we don't know, but there was must be some mighty impressive boob physics if that's to be justified. Our instinct is to just ignore the recommended CPU and determine the minimum spec Core i5-4690 or AMD FX-8370 will do the job just fun. There shouldn't be masses for the CPU to handle, to be honest, and the real legwork is going to be on your GPU if you want Dead or Alive 6 to run well on PC.

Koei Tecmo suggests you'll need a GTX 770 or Radeon R9 280X as a minimum to play Dead or Alive 6, and we'd presume this is probably about right. These specs will undoubtedly be targeted at playing Dead or Alive 6 at 60 frames per second because, well, anything else would be a bit sacrilegious. You will be able to play DOA6 with weaker GPUs but it certainly doesn't come recommended.

If you're wanting to crank up all the settings to the max and see the blood, sweat and tears fly across the screen during a bout, Dead or Alive 6 will eat up a GTX 1060 6GB or Radeon RX 580 8GB. This is the luxury option for those who want top-tier visuals at 1080p screen resolution.
