Now we’ve got that Far Cry New Dawn tryhard out the way, it’s time to turn our attention back to Rage 2. Bethesda has just dropped a rather delightful new trailer for the first-person open-world shooter, packed full to the rafters with all sorts of maniacally inventive death-dealing.

“Using your arsenal of powerful weapons and hi-tech nanotrite abilities, you’re going to wreak havoc on the baddies lurking throughout Rage 2,” says Bethesda. “While they are super powerful on their own, you’ll get maximum damage by pairing those weapons and abilities for crazy combos that will knock the socks off* (*absolutely obliterate) anyone that stands in your way. The Authority doesn’t stand a chance!”

Now that’s a damn fine trailer.

The fingerprints of both id Software and Avalanche Studios are all over this one, from the brutal combat to the playful mechanics. Rage 2 evidently isn’t a game that takes itself too seriously, right down to that excellent Wasteland Superhero theme tune.

Rage 2 is out on May 14th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

I know we have been all ripping on Bethesda as of late for Fallout 76 but this is what they should be doing more of....either developing or publishing awesome fun single-player video games. Actual video games, not live services!

Oh yeah, I am totally going to get my Wasteland Superhero game. Also its a better title than Rage 2 :)

Cant wait to play this. Willing to wait for a later release as long as its not bug ridden like 90% of the recent releases from most publishers recently. Was sad to see X4 as a dead empty shell of what it should of been. I know that the devs are working on it and many patches have been release but getting sick of buying games that are basically alphas or betas and released as completed games. Same with Desolate, and Starpoint Gemini Warlords after full release.

Didn't even know Rage 1 was a thing and yet I'm all hyped up for the sequel!

Wasn't a fan of Rage, but Rage 2 just seems fun.

I actually liked rage, tho it was somewhat linear, i dont know why but always think rage is like borderlands and viceversa xD.

Yeah they are similar in some way, but Borderlands is just better than Rage 1, let's how Rage 2 does. :)

Also, this explains why not much news regarding the new DOOM yet - guess they want to push this one out first
