Last week, Epic revealed Quantic Dream would be bringing a trio of its games to PC, exclusively through the Epic Games Store, including Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain, and Beyond Two Souls. Detroit: Become Human is one of the best-looking games I've ever laid my eyes on, so this is well poised to be a visual showcase on PC.
Detroit: Become Human Twice Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-6350 3.9 GHz
- RAM: 4 GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 2GB Video Memory
- GPU: GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon R7 370
- API: Vulkan
- HDD: 45GB Available Hard Drive Space
Detroit: Become Human Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-2700K 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8370 4.1 GHz
- RAM: 8 GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 8 GB Video Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64
- API: Vulkan
- HDD: 45GB Available Hard Drive Space
We'll start with the CPU demands, which are thankfully on the lower end of the scale. Detroit was a PS4 exclusive and the PS4's CPU is the sort of thing found in supermarket clearance bins. That means even relatively old CPUs should be able to run Detroit: Become Human without a hitch, provided they've got a decently high clock speed.
Things take a different twist with the suggested GPUs for Detroit though, which veers from very low-end with the GTX 660 or R7 370 all the way up to the mighty GTX 1080 and Vega 64 for those who want to play Detroit: Become Human with all its bells and whistles on. Scaleable visuals would appear to be key here and will be crucial to running Detroit on lower-end graphics cards.
Its slow pace is probably going to help it in terms of performance as well, although you're still going to need a meaty PC to get Detroit looking its absolute best.
And, lastly, a rare treat - Detroit: Become Human will run on the Vulkan graphics API rather than DirectX. Games that support Vulkan are few and far between still, but performance is typically excellent.
One slight caveat to all of this is Quantic Dream has provided three identical sets of system requirements for all three of games. This could hint at placeholder specs, or there is the possibility the older games are being given a bit of a visual makeover.
As always, you can check out how well your PC can run Detroit: Become Human System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to Detroit: Become Human GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Detroit: Become Human Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

You released these year too early.
PC Specs
Its not clear if this is ever coming to steam (if thats what you were alluding to)
PC Specs
vulkan? makes sense since it is coming from PS4 porting and performance will be much better.
PC Specs
I sense a ****ty optimization...
PC Specs
i'm with you
PC Specs
2gb vram & 8vram
hmmm
minimum gtx 750ti2gb
recomended rx 580 8gb
vulkan Support Good For amd
PC Specs
Again with an overblown GPU vram requirement LOL. Metro had the same thing and i ran it with 4GB on ultra at 60. Not sure why they keep recommending so much GPU vram.
PC Specs
Most likely because both cards that are recommended have 8GB of Vram.
PC Specs
That is probably true. Bad practice though
PC Specs
Well, they don't have all the hardware in the world to test. They just have 4-5 configurations and test them with that, or even less and just estimate the counterparts from the other company. They might have only Intel and Nvidia setups and test on them and then estimate AMD equivalents or vice versa. They are not obliged to even release system requirements(afaik), let alone make the completely accurate. :)
PC Specs
I doubt you reached ultra @60 on metro with your gpu and resolution... With my setup on ultra i get drops down to 40's when i'm shooting or in gpu intensive areas (and gpu constantly between 80 and 100% usage)
PC Specs
I did at 1080p not at 1440p at 1440p i get similar drops, sorry i should have said that. And 80% gpu usage sounds like you're getting bottlenecked by the 1600x or something cause im always at 100% gpu usage.
PC Specs
At 80% usage i stay above 60, it's when it gets messy that my gpu spikes at 100 and dips occur, it's just too heavy for a 1070, you need at least a 1080
PC Specs
Still waiting for a movie to see if this game is good XD
PC Specs
No such processor as an i5-2700k :P
PC Specs
It's probably a i7 2700k
PC Specs
Really cant wait for this game :D
PC Specs
wow! A GTX 1080? Are those 1440p 60fps requirements?
PC Specs
Probably, or 4k 30fps ... I hope so haha
