Finally confirmed for PC yesterday, Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be the third Yakuza game to release on PC, and the first to utilise the new Dragon Engine used for Yakuza 6. Kiwami 2's visuals promise to be a big step up from the original Yakuza Kiwami, and this means a similar step up in Yakuza Kiwami 2's PC system specs.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Minimum System Requirements

  • HDD: 42GB Available Hard Drive Space

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit

  • RAM: 16 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 8 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56
  • API: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 42GB Available Hard Drive Space

Yep, told ya. The good news is the minimum specs for Yakuza Kiwami 2 stay largely the same as they were for the original. There's a tiny bit of chopping and changing for modern parts, such as a Ryzen 1400 rather than an FX-6300 but, for the most part, if you could run Yakuza Kiwami it seems safe to assume you can run Yakuza Kiwami 2.

The minimum system requirements for Yakuza Kiwami 2 are suitable for play the game at 1080p with 75% render scale, Low graphics preset, at 30 frames per second.

For those who want to crank it up though and play Yakuza Kiwami 2 as it was intended, the specs for 1080/60 on High may come as a bit of a shock. With Kiwami, a simple GTX 750 Ti or Radeon R7 360X would've done the trick. Now Sega is recommending you use a GeForce GTX 1070 or a Radeon RX Vega 56. *dabs water away from eyes*

That is a not inconsiderable leap, transforming the Yakuza series from budget PC dream to become one of the big boys. We have our doubts about the veracity of these specs but we'll have to see what happens once May 9th rolls around.

As always, you can check out how well your PC can run Yakuza Kiwami 2 System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Not only that but, while in kiwami only characters and few other things were "remade", in kiwami 2 there are lot of upgrades, on every aspects of the game. Btw as long as my 980 ti sli hold, i'm happy for the upgrades. I know is not energy saving but i still kick the 1080 ti and the rtx 2070 of my girlfriend.
