Trials Rising is all set to begin its barrage of post-release content for those who still have some hair left after the base game. Trials Rising Sixty-Six is out today and is the first expansion for the motorcycle platformer.
Themed around the United States’ famed Route 66, players will ride, crash, and burn their bike across the Grand Canyon and through the Windy City. A grand total of 24 new tracks will be including, as well as two stadium finals and two skill games.
It sounds like a decently-sized pack of content, although there’s no option to but it a la carte just yet. There’s a Trials Rising Expansion Pass priced at £16.99 which includes Sixty Six and Crash & Sunburn, totaling more than 55 tracks.
There are also some cosmetic goodies if you're that way inclined, with Ubisoft offering the ability to "protect your rider from hard-hitting obstacles with the American Football Outfit, which features a football helmet, jersey, football pants and cleats. Also included are new Contracts and new hidden golden squirrel collectables, designed especially for the occasion. Collect them all to receive more fame."
Games are often unfairly maligned with having DLC which is perceived to be cut from the base game. Trials Rising launched about six weeks ago and, well, I'll leave you to make your own mind up on that one.
Trials Rising Sixty-Six is out today on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
