The official PC system requirements for A Plague Tale: Innocence have been revealed by Focus Home Interactive and developer Asobo Studio. A Plague Tale is a darkly grim tale of two siblings journeying through plague-ridden France, trying to survive in a brutal and unforgiving world. Are the PC system specs for A Plague Tale: Innocence just as unforgiving though?

While Focus is merely the publisher of A Plague Tale: Innocence, all of their games typically have similar below-AAA budgets which are reflected in the system requirements. All Focus titles follow a similar pattern of targeting previous-gen mid-range specs, thereby opening it up to as wide a potential audience as possible.

To that end, a positively ancient system will be enough to run A Plague Tale at Low settings. All of the hardware listed there is at least seven years old, and hardly top-end even when they released. Playing A Plague Tale shouldn't be an issue for almost anyone with a gaming PC.

Playing A Plague Tale at high or ultra graphics settings is a different matter entirely though, and the recommended specs for Innocence are in line with what'd expect from a 2017 AAA title. A little behind the curve then, but it seems to be a nice enough looking game, visually. You'll be wanting a quad-core processor if you're chasing high frame rates, as well as a 4GB DX11 video card. Modern equivalents such as the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 570 should also run A Plague Tale: Innocence without a hitch.

The 16GB RAM requirement seems to be on the high side; we wouldn't worry about matching that spec to be honest - 8GB RAM should be more than enough.
