Once a giant of the FPS world, 3D Realms has fallen on some tough times during the past 20 years, with Duke Nukem Forever shouldering the bulk of the blame. With Wrath: Aeon of Ruin, 3D Realms promises to get back to what it’s best at though, offering up a retro first-person shooter powered by Quake 1 technology.
Having had a sneak peek reveal trailer earlier this year, 3D Realms has now revealed more than 20 minutes of direct-feed gameplay from Wrath, showcasing a horror shooter that looks deliciously old-school. Fast-paced, brutal, and blood, Wrath: Aeon of Ruin looks like a long-lost relic of yesteryear, something that should please PC FPS purists.
3D Reams is going all-in on this one, proving three hub worlds, 15 interconnected levels, nine weapons with alternate fire mods, multiplayer, and comprehensive mod support right out of the gate.
Wrath: Aeon of Ruin is launching on PC in Summer 2019.
