Cricket fans are given short shrift in a world of FIFA and NBA, but they’re being a thrown a googly this year with the announcement of Cricket 19 - The Official Game of the Ashes.

Big Ant Studios are behind the official cricket series once again, recreating the classic cricket sporting even between England and Australia which is due to take place this summer.

“Big Ant Studios games have always been known for deep customisation and flexibility”, Big Ant Studios CEO, Ross Symons, said. “With Cricket 19 we take this to the next level, with even more gameplay modes, more options, more ways to play and much more customisation.”

They’re promising photo-realistic character models of cricket’s bigger names, as well as a new and improved, narrative-driven career mode, a world championship tournament, and a scenario mode where classic matches can be attempted.

Cricket 19 - The Official Game of the Ashes is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on May 28th, with a PC Stam release to follow shortly after. The Ashes is due to start on August 1st.
