We must’ve missed the quiet announcement this week but publisher BigBen Interactive confirmed its upcoming games lineup through to 2020, which also includes the reveal of Blood Bowl III.
Cyanide Studios will once more be at the helm for Blood Bowl 3, with a PC launch expected in 2020. It feels like only yesterday when Blood Bowl 2 launched but it was actually all the way back in 2015. Excuse me just a moment while I have a brief existential crisis.
Blood Bowl, for the uninitiated, is the Warhammer Fantasy take on American Football. You just need to substitute Chad McShoulderbarge and Hank Washington for orcs, trolls, dwarves, and other knobbly-kneed things.
Details are, well, they’re sketchy, to say the least. We can’t imagine a great deal has changed, to be honest. Blood Bowl 3 probably looks a little nicer, and some of the rougher edges will have been smoothed out, but it’s likely to follow in the turn-based tactics of Blood Bowl 2.
More details to come soon then, so have a trailer of Blood Bowl 2 so you can understand what the heck it’s all about.
