On the scale of oddly unnecessary remasters, the 2009 Ghostbusters game is probably near the top of the heap. Bless their little ectoplasmic souls though, they’ve only gone and done it. Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is the real deal, updating the paranormal third-person shooter for the modern generation.
I did actually play this game a decade ago, although not much of it has stuck in my mind, in truth. You play as a new recruit in the Ghostbusters, heading out into New York City with your Proton Pack to hunt down and capture ghosts. It’s set two years after the events of Ghostbusters II and features many of the original cast, including Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.
Details are a bit thin on the ground, but the reveal trailer for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered showcases what appears to be a fairly decent graphical makeover. It’s still dated, for sure,
At the moment, Ghostbusters Remastered has only officially been confirmed for PlayStation 4 via PlayStation’s media channels, although previous leaked listings alluded to PC and Xbox One versions as well. The original game was removed from Steam so it would be a welcome move to see it come back.

Hey GD. I read recently that this was coming to PC via the exclusive route to the epic store? Might need to look a bit more into it?
PC Specs
that's gonna kill it off the starting line.
PC Specs
and you were right, it's dead.

I feel like the tech gods have failed me this day. :/

I agree >.> I wish the epic store would just die already, if Epic's going to keep up not promoting healthy competition.
PC Specs
needs co-op
PC Specs
I think the original has up to 4 players
PC Specs
nope it was a single player game for pc.
PC Specs
ah, fair enough then

I hadn't heard about this when it was originally released, but...hmm.. It does look dated, even with the remaster, but I'd love it just to hear the original cast reprising their roles.
PC Specs
it was kind of underground but is a really good game. absolutely worth picking up if the price is right (like $30 tops)
PC Specs
YAAS!!!!!
PC Specs
It was an underrated gem.
PC Specs
Why? Why do we need this?
PC Specs
because you can no longer purchase the normal version of the game on steam, and if you like Ghostbusters it's absolutely worthy of being called "Ghostbusters III" (even Harold Ramis himself said it was basically that). good gameplay, good story, good humor, again, if you like Ghostbusters

meh..
