Up For Debate - Who is going to win E3 2019?

Written by Jon Sutton on Sat, Jun 1, 2019 1:52 PM

As it stands, we’re just eight days away from the first E3 2019 press conference taking place. Microsoft kicks things off on Sunday, June 9th, before we then roll into a hectic conference schedule that includes the likes of Bethesda, Square Enix, Devolver Digital, the PC Gaming Show, Nintendo, Electronic Arts, and heaps more.

E3’s biggest headline grabbers, of course, are the new game and hardware reveals. It’s still the biggest and time and place for announcing new games on the planet. Even with Sony PlayStation giving the show a pass this year, we’re still expecting dozens upon dozens of major game announcements.

Not only will there be plenty of surprises, but we’ll also be treated to some more in-depth looks at some the most hyped titles in existence, including Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Over on the Microsoft side, there’s even the tempting prospect of a new hardware reveal. Sony has shown a bit of its hand by talking about the PS5’s preliminary specs, and Microsoft surely isn’t going to be far behind with the oft-rumoured Xbox Scarlett. Could E3 2019 be the place we finally get our first look at next-gen console hardware?

All in all, it’s shaping up to an absolutely blockbuster week. But, and here’s the all-important question, which publisher or developer is going to come out on top this year? Will there be an undisputed champion which knocks it out of the park at E3 2019? Get voting and let us know why in the comments below!

The only way CDPR is going to get upstaged at E3 is if Rockstar announces Grand Theft Auto 6.

The only reason I say that is if, and I really stress the if, if Rockstar announced GTA6 at E3 with no leaks and no teaser and it was a complete surprise, there is no doubt in my that it would upstage any Cyberpunk 2077 presentation. Imo, that's literally the only way anyone else could win E3, it would something so completely insane and out of left field to do it.

It will be console exclusive for years no doubt. Let's hope they say something about rdr2 pc version.

There's a good chance that it would be, doesn't change what I said though.

Sheesh.... the Cyberpunk 2077 hype is real.
I'm not sure how you "win" E3 exactly, but I expect most of the love is gonna go to CDPR, AMD, Microsoft, and Sony.
EDIT: Oops, Sony's not attending, so I guess that leaves the other 3 I mentioned.

I was wondering if they aren't attending and still releasing stuff on the internet (Social Media, youtube) ,or are they going to skip it all together on the announcements ?

Would love to see something new from TES VI or Starfield, but that's most certainly not happening.

Probably CDPR but I'm trying to temper my expectations for CP 2077 as they've actually only produced one game that I love (W3). The other announcement I would like to hear the most though is whatever Rocksteady are working on.

but they don't have a single game coming out, they'd have to make some brutal amazing announcement for them to win and it's highly unlikely...

Oh... I see... I forgot we are on GD for a second...

As much as I like Nintendo, I am 101% certain that CDPR will dominate. Those guys don't mess around.

This might sound a little corny but with all the news and rumors going around I truly believe this will be the best E3 we've had in recent years. With that said, gamers are going to win!

I mean I have forgotten most of the games that most of these companies are bringing out, or if any, so I'd say CD Project Red, cuz Cyberpunk 2077 will probably be great or EA with Star Wars, but I'm sceptical towards EA.
Activision-Blizzard have only CoD so nope.
2k games with another sports game? Nah
Bethesda with what again?
Capcom RE2 remake? Meh
Developer digital with Serius Sam 4, as much as I like the SS series, I don't think they are going to be better than CDPR's CP 2077, but hey if they prove me wrong, it'd be very interesting.
EA with Star Wars
Epic with what?
Frontier? Meh
Nintendo with that Jump Force-like marvel game? Nah
Square enix with FF7 remake, meh, but DQ XI might be very good
Ubisoft with...probably something... so no clue

Microsoft and Sony win if they announce the next gen consoles, but I don't think they will.

Well, Nintendo has a few games:
Metroid
'Town'
Harvest Moon (I might be wrong but I think I heard there might be a new Harvest Moon)
New Pokemon game
As for Bethesda I'm really hoping they give us a little more detail about the next TES game and, if we're lucky a big announcement for Fallout 76. Yeah, I know, not a lot of people like the game but maybe they can bring it around like they did with ESO. I'm not going to lie, that new COD: MW looked incredible, I'm eager to hear more of that, if they do talk about it that is. Sqaure Enix is actually working on a Marvel's Avenger game.
