Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 ran about as well as a three-legged giraffe so any improvements at all in terms of performance and optimisation would be most welcomed. On that front, CI Games is touting an optimised game engine (CryEngine), shorter load times, and more stable FPS in Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts.
To that end, the minimum system requirements for Ghost Warrior Contracts have actually dropped a little between the two games. You'll now just need a fairly solid dual-core processor alongside a basic DX11 video card with at least 2GB VRAM. There's nothing overly untoward here, so fingers crossed as long as you've got a GTX 1050 Ti, Radeon RX 560, or something along those lines, then you should be able to run it without a hitch.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts recommended specs do increase, although only by a little. The recommended graphics cards are actually the low-end VRAM variants such as the GeForce GTX 1060 3GB or the Radeon RX 480 4GB. Ghost Warrior is typically quite the memory guzzler so there's possibly been some work done here on tidying up the resource drain.
Despite the fairly average set of system requirements when stacked up to a modern AAA title though, we're still expecting Sniper GW Contracts to still be a bit of a beast for those who want to run it at higher settings. Tread carefully, as Ghost Warrior 3 was comfortably one of the worst performing games we played in 2017.
