It was finally announced during E3 2019 that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be coming to PC on September. It was always a matter of when, rather than if, but it's nice to have it all confirmed. Spyro Reignited Trilogy includes full remakes of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The port is being handled by Iron Galaxy, who also handle the Crash Bandicoot remakes on PC.

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Recommended System Requirements

  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 40 GB Available Hard Drive Space

If you ever picked up a copy of the Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy remaster then these system specs for the Spyro Trilogy are much the same story. That game actually ended up running pretty damn well so we're hoping for much the same with Spyro. Get a hold of a GTX 1070/Vega 56 or so and you should even have enough to start messing around with 4K.

Down at the lower spec a modest 2GB early DX11 video card such as the GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7850 will do the trick at 720p, paired with a low-end dual-core processor and just 4GB RAM. Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a game which should run fine on a wide range of PC gaming systems.

For those who want to crank up the visuals and enjoy the Spyro HD Trilogy at 1080p/Ultra, you'll need tech that's a couple of generations newer. It doesn't look as if Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is particularly reliant on video memory, so 2GB VRAM should do the trick, while a quad-core CPU is recommended for those aiming for higher frame rates with high refresh rate monitors.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run Spyro: Reignited Trilogy System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to Spyro: Reignited Trilogy GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

Here's hoping they fixed Spyro 3. The original console launch was rushed for release and you can super see it in Spyro 3.
