The action role playing game Code Vein is scheduled for release on 26th September. This is Bandai Namcos next big title and it is shaping up to be quite the eye pleaser. We have just been passed the latest official PC system specs for CodeVein so lets see what sort of hardware we might need to get this running in September.

Code Vein Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2300
  • RAM: 6 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 1 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 760 or Radeon HD 7850
  • DX: DirectX 11

Code Vein Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-7400 or AMD Ryzen 3 2200G
  • RAM: 8 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 3 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 960 or Radeon R9 380X
  • DX: DirectX 12

Its all pretty light weight hardware requirements for Code Vein. So Code Vein recommended hardware needs at least a Radeon R9 380X or GeForce GTX 960 2GB to where we expect it to run on high graphics setting at a native 1080p screen size.

This recomomended hardware should therefore achieve 60FPS. However if you are hoping to get minimum specs then we can drop down to an even older Radeon HD 7850 graphics card to play on low settings, with the ageing, but brilliant, Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz or FX-8120 processor. This should be enough to reach 30FPS on a 1080p monitor. Another quick point of note is consider the DirectX capability of your GPU. Code Vein needs a GPU capable of running DirectX 12 at recommended settings. And so this all points to us looking at around a 4 or 5 year old PC for Code Vein to run suitably.

What type of game is Code Vein?

Well I am sure you know what Bandai Namco are comfortable with developing, right? So it wont be any surprise to find out that Code Vein is a Dark Souls-like game. Based in a post-apocolyptic setting where you will be encountering vampires, werewolves and other fantastical creatures. Code Vein is an ARPG built on the unreal engine and coming to PS4 XBox One and PC.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run Code Vein System Requirements, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to Code Vein GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Code Vein Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

Only one problem, I just KNOW this is going to be Epic Store exclusive for like a year before it comes out on steam.

Calling it right now.

Very hyped for the game and I think it has proper Co-oP, not the Dark Souls type Co-oP.
