Ho boy, here we go. There's no time for messing around in September, things are about to get a little obscene, and I'm not just talking about Catherine: Full Body. Trimming this list of the biggest games of September down to just 19 was a tricky task in an of itself. That's still a big new game every other day.

Suffice to say, whatever your tastes, there should be something in this little lot that appeals to you. If you happen to have tastes that are too wide, if there is such a thing, then you'll be set for a bank-busting month.

It's a huge one for sports fans with new FIFA, PES, NHL, and NBA, but beneath the roaring stadiums and flashing lights lurk plenty of behemoths beneath the surface. Borderlands 3 is quite comfortably the game which is going to cause the loudest bang when it drops in just over a week's time, but there are also the likes of Gears 5, GreedFall, MonHun World: Iceborne, The Surge 2, and a (sort of) new Zelda for the Nintendo Switch.

Since Iceborn is only being released on consoles, and Borderlands 2 has been delayed by 6 months, the only game I will definitely get is the Spyro triology.

If you look at the graphic Borderlands 3 is behind GoW 5 and Greedfall. The most likely reason is because a EGS exclusive. The game's sales are going to suffer because of that.

Honestly, nothing here is a Day One buy for me on the PC. I'll wait for the reviews. Not a fan of the NBA, NHL, soccer, Final Fantasy VIII, Gears of War or Borderlands.

Really good month for gaming. I'll wait for Borderlands 2 to be available for Steam / GoG. I love games from Codemasters so GRID is also on my list.

Really looking forward to Greedfall, it looks like it will be a great RPG and a good week one buy. Will keep an eye on Gears 5, and pick it up if they ever put out the rest of series. Borderlands 3...I'll pick it up someday on a better launcher and for a much lower price.

Gears 5 (even though I'm not expecting much, I found the games rather bland), and Link's Awakening!
