It hasn't been officially announced yet but a store page for Layers of Fear VR has just popped on Steam. Halloween seems as appropriate a time as any to announce this new virtual reality horror experience which appears to be the original Layers of Fear, only this time with all those terrifying visions happening about half an inch from the surface of your eyes.

A VR update has been rumoured for Layers of Fear for some time now and we expect an official announcement soon. Layers of Fear VR is a first-person horror game in which you explore a morphing mansion and experience psychedelic effects. It's a pretty strange experience on a normal monitor, to be honest, so it's probably going to be a bit of a mind-bender in VR.

For returning players, Bloober Team is promising additional secrets and details which can only be discovered thanks to the use of VR.

If you're fortunate enough to own a virtual reality headset on PC, here are the system specs you'll need to run Layers of Fear VR. Naturally, you will require a VR headset to play the virtual reality version of Layers of Fear.
