With 1gbps yea sounds about right. I preloaded like 5 days ago hoping the servers wouldn't be bloated by other people. Turns out i was right, did it in about 17mins no issues. I heard Epic isn't even having a preload, not sure why.

Well, it's not just him they doubted, but they doubted Game-Debate and said the news was fake and just made up. I wonder were all of the people that doubted Game-Debate are now though, because you clearly won't see any of them saying we were right.

You guys hardly helped yourself with comments along the lines of "I could show the proof but I could have faked it so I'm not going to". People are allowed to not believe you when write your article that way. Learn from this and improve.

You're right, but you also know that if he did provide proof people would still call it bs. There was NOTHING to gain from anyone lying about a release time for RDR2, to get more article views? This isn't youtube, there's no money from views, if there was I'd be getting paid lol. And if that person that wrote to Jon leaked the time by accident that was by his own doing, by Jon posting proof and blurring out the email as to not burn the source, people would have said oh it's a fake email.

That's what people want right, random people spamming the crap out of their email address.

When you write an article that way? It was a comment and what he said was true. People would've just said it's a fake email too, because they would rather want to believe that Rockstar wouldn't release it at such an awful time for some people. It was an email chain between him and a rep with his review code and some other personal information. So obviously no one would get confirmation from Rockstar support either as they don't know. EGS and GMG said the same time too and people doubted them, so there's clearly no way to win. You can see it's verified and the exact times now though, but feel free to enjoy the other features on Game-Debate like comparing hardware and seeing if your system can run certain games or not

Well said deathkeeper. I'm a strong believer in not burning your sources, Jon asked me not to post anything he showed me so I didn't. People just wanna believe what they wanna believe and that's fine it's called free will. But considering people are members here you know someone wouldn't post information that wasn't reliable.

Yeah, Game-Debate wouldn't want to spread incorrect information either, because that's clearly not how you gain an audience and more members.

You can't post no supportive evidence to backup your claim and create a ficitional reality where everyone says it's fake. Get as defensive as you like but ultimately you chose to post the article and open yourself to specialism due to that.

I had a go on some people on reddit lol, now i remember why i didn't make an account on that in the first place. People calling it BS and fake that rockstar wouldn't give out GD information lol. GD gets keys from pretty much every major developer and publisher, but yes we "fake news" because we Donald Trump this place lol. Give me a break. Jon was right not to post the email, no one would have believed it with deleted email addresses. Well done GD.

Yeah, but there's still no reason to post it. He's the only person that keeps arguing and he's the same person from reddit that argued against you btw. He's the only person that keeps saying "GB", while everyone else says "GD".

Yea i figured, it's alright. To be fair, there's still a possibility the game might be playable earlier, I've had that happen to a few games before. People love to argue for the sake of arguing. How many people post youtube videos and then repost to correct a mistake they make because they didn't do their due diligence and do things properly. It's why I don't believe most reviewers, it's why I'm waiting to write my Corsair Virtuoso review for GD (even though i bought them myself to be unbiased), so that they break in properly and any minor bugs are sorted.

Wouldn't so much say argued against but rather verbally dominated him into submission. You're entilted to your opinion but you gotta have solid logic first. Apart of me still doubts you even had evidence. Way too defensive.

Oh right, sorry. "Don't wanna burn our source". Proceeds to talk about them openly supplying information which was then used in an article. Gotta love those secret sources that you put on blast for Reddit, YouTube and Twitter to view.

Yeah, I've seen games get released too early by accident a few times too. I don't see how you've "dominated" anyone. You've just been proven wrong multiple times and you aren't entitled to see an email either. Game-Debate is already credible and has articles were the owner has even been invited to meetings with Rockstar Games at their HQ in the United Kingdom.

Proven wrong? For someone who works for a gaming outlet, you're surprisingly crap at reading. Nobody said you had to show anything, but don't act like a victim when people question your defensive stance and lack of supporting evidence.

Yes you were proven wrong when the EGS thing got posted and then when the GMG thing was posted too. Not being defensive, just stating facts. You also asked multiple times for evidence , so saying "Nobody said you had to show anything" is false too. This is old news now and is correct. So rather enjoy the rest of your day and enjoy the game when it releases at 5am PT/ 8am ET / 1pm GMT tomorrow

It was an inspect elemet lol most people were doubtful. And once again, missing my point. You don't have to provide evidence but you can't play the victim when people question your refusal to do so. I hope you guys learn from this :)

For all those doubting the article. Check the epic store and someone having pulled up and underlined a possible release time under the elements for the epic store.

Says 2019-11-5T14:00:00.000 which seems like a 2pm release on the 5th? How does that correlate to what was said in this article? I'm speculating that T = time and 14:00 is, of course, hours, minutes etc.

Do you have any proof to back this claim?

I mean, it's just an email conversation chain, I could fake it in seconds. I'm obviously not going to share the actual details of the person I was communicating with. They told me it unlocks at that time so you can sit around refreshing every until then if you want, I guess.

Also, @Stuart Thomas how accurate is that release time, is it really a confirmation from Rockstar? Why would they confirm it to GD but not do a newswire themselves?
Because the RDR2 subreddit is going wild over this and if it's misleading.

Probably because GD actually has to write a review for the game so they need to know what time it's going to be playable. I'm assuming Rockstar has it under NDA till tomorrow has not a single source has written a review for it yet.

You gotta question why would GB need to know the release times when they've, assumingly, already reviewed it? Also, if Rockstar has it under NDA then GB royally messed up. I doubt there's an NDA in place still, to be honest.

Maybe so, but wouldn't giving out release times go against any realisic NDA? It's currently the 5th of Novemeber where I am (kiwi) and I've contacted Rockstar who still refuse to provide any information on if it's coming on the 5th for me.

Wow, if it's globally then would be the 4th for US and it's still not playable for me nor do i see it happening. My guess is its the 6th for AUS/NZ.
