The nightmare-fuelled Mortal Shell is nearly upon us, and whilst we've been struggling to go to sleep at the very sight of some of these enemies, the PC system requirements for Mortal Shell are here. So how demanding is it? Will we need a beefy PC setup in order to run it well? Or does it not require that intense of a rig? Let's dive into the official Mortal Shell system requirements...

Mortal Shell minimum system requirements

Mortal Shell recommended system requirements

(*Some of the requirements merely list a suggested type of hardware, rather than a specific one, so we have selected some of the closest related hardware items based on their description in square brackets where necessary).

In order to run the recommended system requirements for Mortal Shell on high graphics settings your PC will require at least a GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX Vega 56 graphics card with a Core i7-6700 or Ryzen 7 1700 CPU. For your PC to completely meet the recommended requirements you will also need 16GB of system memory.

In order to run the Mortal Shell minimum requirements on low graphics settings your PC will require at least a GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon R9 290 GPU with a Core i5-4590 or FX-8350 processor. This will return an average of 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution. To be able to run at all you will need at least 8GB of RAM.

Another thing to consider is the DirectX capability of your GPU, as Mortal Shell needs a GPU capable of running DirectX 11.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Mortal Shell System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarks and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the Mortal Shell GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Mortal Shell Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

Our favourite comments:

Not surprised about the requirements. The game looks really good, whether it lives up to Dark Souls is another story.

Played the beta, runs at average 110 fps ultra on my rig but i expect the further locations to be more demanding.

It doesn't say which AA is used, you choose between low->medium->high->ultra settings. I've only tried 1080p resolution at the time.
