How anyone could get excited about any of this low tier garbage is just laughable to me. The future of gaming is looking VERY bleak.

Strong words. Care to elaborate what NOT "low-tier garbage" is? I'm not interested in every game, naturally, but some of those are definitely on my list.

I don't need to "elaborate more" for a bunch of coping beta males and soyboys that get #so hype, over cinematic trailers.

You're not gonna last long with this attitude, MR Manly Alpha... Not only are you barking up the wrong tree (maybe log off the net every now and again?) - you also completely fail to back up your dumb*ss statement. Very alpha testosterone of you - give yourself another upvote for that xDD

This guy acts big but is scared of trans people. Nothing screams maturity like a "man" airing toxic opinions about video games.

STALKER 2 stole the show for me. The graphics are really close to tarkov but its too hardcore MP for me. I Do love stalker gameplay they showed.

Is Escape from Tarkov MP-only? Kinda sucks, if so, as I had it on my radar for a long time (just never looked into it properly).

Tarkovs only PvP but some enemies are bots. No singleplayer.

Sad... would have loved to try it, but I have exactly zero interest in MP these days.

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 trailer did it for me, I absolutely cannot wait anymore, I want that game so much.
Besides that, Far Cry 6, Battlefield 2042 and Forza Horizon 5 look pretty good, hope I'll have money for all of them haha

Nah, I don't use those kind of services, I like "owning" my games (I know I don't really own them if I buy em but yeah) I wait for reviews, gameplay videos and possibly discounts before I buy my games, and I also refund them if I don't like them, Steam is the best.

Thats the whole purpose of the Game Pass service. Try each of those games for a subscription fee. If you like them, then you just buy the ones you really want.

If it would cost just 1$ per month, yeah, I wouldn't say it's wasted money, but right now it's 1$ only for the first month, after that it's 10$, it doesn't sound like much, but it really adds up over time, depending on your salary (in Eastern Europe where I live it's not worth it)
And afaik, games can be removed from these passes and the user can't do anything about it, but if you buy it and it gets removed or whatever, other players can't buy it anymore, but you still have it.
If you wanna just try a game to see if you like it, you can sail the seven seas, although that isn't needed anymore 'cuz of Steam's good refund policy.

You get a 20% discount on every game on the game pass during your subscription, and they give a month warning before removing any game from game pass, so you have the option to buy it before it's gone. So at $10 a month, if you purchase 1 $60 game, you're actually saving money buying it :) The real downside to game pass...... Microsoft store :( but they have said they're redoing the entire thing. So.... here's to hoping.

Didn't know about the 20% discount, sounds nice, thing is I never buy games when they are released, I wait for at least a 50% discount, preferably 75% or more (Only exception was The Witcher 3)
It kinda sucks having Eastern Europe salaries but no regional pricing in Romania, I mean, who would pay 60 Euros for games in a country where minimum wage is 300 Euros?
And more importantly, you said it yourself, the real downside is Microsoft Store, you can't even refund games bought from there, I tried it with Forza Horizon 4 'cuz of buyers remorse.
I realize this is highly subjective tho, not everyone is as spoiled as me lol

Shame you didn't like FH4. I love that game, I really wish my saves would carry over to Steam...

As for being "spoiled" and whatnot - surely a game here and there isn't that much of a problem if when you can afford a rig like you do, no? Asking because I'm eastern european too and the wage argument falls apart a bit when you have a brand new rig worth several months worth of those, meaning you're better off than just surviving on a minimum wage.

I didn't say I don't like FH4, it became my favorite racing game, I think I have 300 hours played since last December when I got it (and I'm still noob lol) but I spent 60 Eur on the Ultimate Edition when it was discounted and I felt bad, because I've never spent that much money on a single game before, but it was worth it in the end.

Regarding money and the rig, thing is, I save up every time I can and I'm careful not to spend it on useless things. I was planning on buying a car just before COVID struck, I lost my job so I said screw it, I'm building a new rig, and I got lucky with the GPU, I got it for "only" 600 Eur.
