I feel like it’s not too hard to notice the graphical improvements over the original Stalker games and the upcoming sequel, but when you put them side by side not only does it make it way more obvious how it has come along since then, but also how well the originals hold up to this day.

It’s no Crysis for sure, but the original Stalker games still look surprisingly good even without mods. Stalker 2 on the other hand looks like a true next gen experience, and judging by the official PC system requirements, will require a pretty beefy computer to play at its best. Check out the comparison video below:

Thanks to user Candyland on YouTube, who tried their best to get similar scenes and environments that can compare to the recent Stalker 2 trailer from the Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 games showcase last weekend. Stalker 2 is launching April 28 2022.

What do you think? Are you excited for Stalker 2? How do you feel about the graphics improvements? Have you ever played the original games? Let us know!

I find it hard to tell the difference when the scenes in both sides of the video don't match up at all. However looking at other things, I can tell there has definitely been a big improvement. Makes sense considering the age difference between the two games. Clear Sky is nearly 12 years old.

A bit odd to do "comparisons" like this, IMO, when nothing is out and won't be for a while. But then fans seem to take everything apart these days because hype is a drug.

They do say that "curiosity kills the cat" and us humans are also naturally curious... Plus internet being mainstream made it so much easier to do with many many other people. But yeah, it can be huge trap, since it can overhype people. I won't lie, I do get curious, but I also know better than take anything pre-release too seriously, with how many times we have been there and it backfired. :-D

Definitely excited for it. It has been long time and it looks great. Hopefully on release, game lives up to reputation marketing is creating. As for where to start... It has been long while, so I guess I can't go wrong and saying Shadow of Chernobyl, plus didn't we see player character from SoC in trailer for STALKER 2? So I guess it would be as relevant as it can get.

After 13 years of the last game I would hope they nail it also cyberpunks launch state might caution other developers.

So is this game PRIOR to METRO Series or AFTER METRO SERIES?

So theres this thing called google and you can look up information such as when stalker launched vs when metro 2033 did, exiting times we live in.

What I'm referring to is the gameplay. Not the actual release of the game.

Your question makes no sense. One is about a nuclear war, another is about the Chernobyl zone - they're different franchises, have different plots and have nothing to do with one another.

But both shows Monsters from NUCLEAR MUTATIONS right? Even the Anomaly from The Metro Exodus is also shown in Stalker but is named ELECTRO.

That does not mean that the games are related. By that logic, every game featuring brain-dead zombies should be related, right?

This game came early in 2004.

I'm excited, but scared at the same time. Cyberpunk 2077 really ****ed me up with expectations.

As a rule - I never hype for games. Most of them come out broken in some way and need fixing. Best to not hype, wait, see the reviews, buy in a year with all the fixes and DLC - for a much cheaper price.
