Cyberpunk 2077 DLC will be revealed today, Patch 1.3 notes detail much needed updates

Written by Stuart Thomas on Tue, Aug 17, 2021 10:47 AM

Recently, CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077’s performance is now at a satisfying level, allowing the developers to start working on other content and fixes. In anticipation for the next big update, CDPR has given us a preview of the next Patch 1.3 which details some significant Quality of Life changes. Plus, they will be officially revealing the first batch of DLCs for the game later today.

Patch 1.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 is set to introduce some much-needed Quality of Life updates, including a zoom-out function for the minimap when driving, the ability to reset perks, and some other changes. You can check the previews for each below:

Minimap zoom

This one can be a bit hard to see, but if you focus on the minimap in the top right corner then you’ll be able to see the difference. Essentially, CP2077 shipped with a minimap that was okay for on-foot travel, but was too far zoomed in whilst driving, often resulting in crashing your expensive vehicle. Now the minimap will zoom out when you get in a car.

Automatic Love quest UI update

The second one is essentially another quality of life update that will give players more time to choose between Angel or Skye during the Automatic Love quest, as before the screen would disappear quite quickly.

Reset perks

The third and final preview for Patch 1.3 in Cyberpunk 2077 gives players the ability to reset their perks, allowing for more experimentation in builds, all for a small amount of cash. So you can go from super-smart hacker by night, to an unstoppable bulldozer by day.

Cyberpunk 2077 DLC and livestream

As mentioned, CD Projekt Red will be hosting a stream later today that will give us more details on the “new and exciting changes to Cyberpunk 2077 which are coming with patch 1.3, as well as the very first DLCs for the game.

You can catch the stream here on CDPR’s Twitch channel. The stream will start later today (August 17th) at 6pm CEST (9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST).

What do you think? How do you feel about the Patch 1.3 changes outlined above? Are you still excited for Cyberpunk 2077 DLC? Will you be watching the stream? Let us know!

Are you excited for Cyberpunk 2077 DLC?

You gotta be joking! We'll be able to reset perks which we already can do, but still, we won't reset attributes?! Lol. Thank you for nothing.

As someone playing on ultra on PC, the updates so far were mostly terrible.

Didn't really notice any performance gains, yet there's way more pop-in and way worse draw distance since the last updates than there were initially at release. If the minimap change is the most exciting thing to come, and it surely sounds that way, I no longer got hopes of them working on any important stuff like the AI, driving physics or the way cars and people react to things.

yeah, the most noticeable thing is that arasake sign that pop in 20 m away from it, and also pedestrians disappearing and cars stopping in the middle of the road

This long for a minimap tweak... I wonder how many people are actually still working full time on the game...

The interns finally fixed their merge conflicts on the PRs.

It's not a satisfying level of performance at all...even on PC.

With my current rig I drop to 30 fps while driving on 1080p high with medium Ray Tracing and DLSS.

I don't even want to imagine on consoles...They may have resolved the bugs but the performance is still awful.

CPU limited with RT, improvements can definitely be made but I doubt anything substantial can or will be done.

seems weird, i'm running a 2080 and i get 60 fps max settings, raytracing high and DLSS quality

it is most likely a cpu bottleneck, i also tought my r7 2700 was more than enough for at least 60 fps, yet i drop to 42 fps while driving in certain areas in the city, doesnt really matter the resolution or the settings, it always drop to 42fps only to get back to 60 fps.

Yeah, this game really strangles CPUs. My 5960X OC doesn't keep 60 either in some cases.

No way lol, the major issues with pathfinding are still there + now the graphical downgrades took place with worse pop-in.

Oh damn!

Nevermind. Maybe 1.4 or 1.5 then.

It'll just never get fixed. Pathfinding needs a major rework, the cops and cars will not work properly without it either... and because it's a big rework - it'll just be left as-is now. They probably just have a tiny team of a couple of people squashing some minor bugs here and there now, with the rest working on something else.
