In case you missed it during the Gamescom 2021 Opening Night Live show, Amazon’s upcoming MMO is scheduled to start an Open Beta in two weeks time on September 9th. Following a recent Closed Beta, this will be your last chance to try out the highly anticipated game before it officially launches later in the month.

After numerous delays, New World is finally (hopefully) launching on September 28th. If you want to get in on the Open Beta action, you can request access via the game’s official Steam Store page when it becomes available, under the new playtest feature. The Open Beta will run from September 9th to September 12th, so you don’t have long to try it out in terms of MMO content.

Amazon has been trying to get into the games industry for a while now, and New World might turn out to be their first proper success. With all the hype surrounding the title, it is currently number 2 on the most wishlisted games on Steam, which shows just how hungry the audience is for a fresh new MMO.

What do you think? Are you excited for New World? Will you be trying out the Open Beta? Have you played it already? What did you think of it? Let us know!
