EA’s beloved Skate series has long been a console exclusive, so when Electronic Arts officially revealed they are working on a new Skate game, PC players weren’t as excited if they never played or got to play the original games. Now the publisher is setting things right, as the upcoming Skate 4 is officially coming to PC.
Over on Twitter, the official EA Skate account tweeted a short video showing a skater jumping over an old CRT monitor with the Skate logo on it, with the caption “PC_confirmation.exe”. Now as if that wasn’t enough, a spokesperson has since confirmed in an email that Skate 4 is definitely coming to PC when it launches. (Thanks to Daytryan on YouTube by the way for uploading the Twitter video for us to see below).
There’s no information on whether the rest of the series will one day make its way to the PC platform, but we at least know the upcoming sequel will be coming. We still don’t have a release date yet unfortunately, and it is still in the early stages of development, but it's another win for the PC community.
What do you think? Are you excited for Skate 4? Would you like to see the rest of the series on PC? Or maybe just Skate 3 or another one? Are you hoping for mod support? Let us know!
