This week, Gamescom 2021 Opening Night Live gave us a few interesting surprises, most notably was the official reveal of a new Saints Row game launching in February 2022. However, initial reception had fans divided, and developer Volition has seemingly put together another trailer to try and help assure fans about the upcoming reboot.
The new trailer for Saints Row showcases some of the characters, including your enemy factions and the unique differences between them, as well the main location, and character customization (something which many fans complained about in the CGI trailer). You can check out the new gameplay video below:
It was a clearly rushed trailer, as much of the gameplay was recorded in a Pre-Alpha build and as such looks a little clunky at times, especially the graphics. But again, this is a Pre-Alpha build of the game, so you can expect most of it to improve before launch. Overall though, this is clearly a Saints Row game, and fan reception is much better this time round on YouTube, at least so far.
What do you think? Are you excited for the Saints Row reboot? Are you more or less interested after this gameplay trailer? Has it helped improve your perception of the game? What are you still worried about? Let us know!
