The upcoming (and frankly, quite confusing in terms of lore) free-to-play Battle Royale game based on the popular World of Darkness series is officially launching tomorrow. But developer Sharkmob has updated the official PC system requirements since the last closed Alpha period, with slightly less demanding specs.

Considering a free-to-play Battle Royale like Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt looks to garner as much of an audience as possible, it makes sense that the developers started tinkering away at the game to get more performance on lower hardware, especially since the original specs were pretty demanding.

Now the minimum requirements have dropped slightly for CPU and GPU (from a GTX 1070 or RX 5600 XT down to a GTX 970 or RX 580 now), and the GPU specs for the recommended requirements have also dropped slightly from an RTX 2060 Super or RX 5700 XT down to a GTX 1080 or RX Vega 64.

They're still pretty demanding for a game like this, but at least they're slightly better now. We might even see performance continually improve over the course of the game's lifecycle, so keep an eye out on the Bloodhunt PC specs in case they improve once more.

So let's take a look at the newly updated Vampire The Masquerade Bloodhunt PC system requirements...

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt minimum system requirements

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt recommended system requirements

In order to play Vampire The Masquerade Bloodhunt at the recommended system specs you will need at least a GTX 1080 or RX Vega 64 graphics cards paired with either a Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 3600X processor. You will also need at least 16GB of RAM to run Bloodhunt at 1080p resolution on High graphics settings, which should help achieve 60fps performance.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodhunt will need a GPU that is at least as powerful as a GTX 970 or RX 580 in order to match the minimum requirements. You will also need to pair it with either a Core i5-7400 or Ryzen 3 1300X CPU and 8GB of system memory, which should then achieve around 60fps performance on Low graphics settings at 1080p.

Overall, looking at the specs above we suggest at least a 4 year old PC in order to play VTM Bloodhunt at its best.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarks and performance from other users. I'm a big fan of Vampire : The Masquerade, I'm a tabletop RPG player (since V1, really like the V5). I don't really like BR but I'm going to try it anyway because I love the universe. Maybe it will help me forget the bad news about Bloodlines 2 (I'm still crossing my fingers and hoping the game will be good)... 😔
