Developer 343 Industries has revealed that the next technical test for the upcoming Halo game is starting soon, and this time they want to stress test the servers with PvP multiplayer and Big Team Battles, meaning all those who are registered before a certain date are guaranteed entry into the test.
The second technical test for Halo Infinite Multiplayer begins on September 24th, and all those who register as a Halo Insider before September 13th (next Monday!) are guaranteed to be invited. So if you didn’t manage to get in the last one, or want to check out what PvP is really like this time, then sign up now before you miss the opportunity.
The last technical test was to try out the bots, so there wasn’t actually any PvP involved. However, this next test is focusing specifically on PvP in a variety of game modes in several 4v4 arenas, as well as the first tests of Big Team Battles (large 12v12 matches). So understandably the developers want to stress test as much as possible before the December launch.
“We need everyone's help, let's see how hard we can push our services and infrastructure so things will fall down during the preview instead of in December,” said Brian Jarrard, Community Director at 343. “We urgently need as many Insiders signed up and ready to go by Sept. 13 since it takes a fair amount of time to work through all the other steps on our side.”
You can sign up to be a Halo Insider here, where you’ll be prompted to sign in/register an account and fill out a few questionnaires to verify your eligibility (and make sure you get the right invite to the right platform for example). Make sure to complete your profile as best as you can just to make sure you get invited!
What do you think? Are you excited for Halo Infinite? Will you be signing up for the next flight? Or have you already signed up before? And did you get to play the first technical test? What did you think of it? Let us know!
