Sony blew everyone away when their first announcement during the PlayStation Showcase 2021 event was confirmation of an official KOTOR remake. The announcement has a lot of fans excited, especially since it has been rumored for a few years already, but PC players may have to wait a little while after PS5 players.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is still pretty early in development, hence why all we’ve seen so far is a brief teaser. But in a recent blog post, Ryan Treadwell, the Lead Producer at Aspyr Media, confirmed that the Knights of the Old Republic Remake is “a console exclusive on PlayStation 5 at launch.”
That means, yes, it will definitely be coming to PC at some point after launching on PlayStation 5, but we don’t know for how long. Optimistically we might be looking at anywhere from a few months to a year after the PS5 launch. But in all honesty it could even be years before the KOTOR Remake comes to PC judging by Sony’s current track record with PC ports.
What do you think? Are you excited for the KOTOR Remake? What improvements would you like to see made over the original? What are your worries? And how do you feel about it being a timed exclusive? Let us know!
