Despite their popularity in fiction and non-fiction novels, the classic detective genre has rarely ever made its way to video games, at least in recent years that is. Aside from some obvious examples, Frogwares has largely been successful thanks to their Sherlock Holmes games, and their next title following the titular detective finally has a release date.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is launching for PC and consoles on November 16th, Frogwares has confirmed. Better yet, you can get it on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. For consoles, only next-gen console players will be able to experience the new story, with a launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users coming at a later date.

There’s the usual pre-order bonuses up for grabs if you’re into those sorts of things, which includes a copy of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments (available on purchase) as well as the Victorian Starter Pack which itself includes an exclusive quest, two outfits, and some bonus in-game currency.

What do you think? Are you excited for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One? Have you played any other Frogwares games? Which is your favorite detective game and why? Let us know!
