Following on from their domination in the Hollywood Box Office, Marvel has been expanding into the realm of video games as well (I mean, they always have, but even more so now than before). The next Marvel game launching is based on the Guardians of the Galaxy, and so far we’ve seen very little about how it actually plays.

Thankfully Square Enix heard our cries and have released two new trailers that go into more of the gameplay of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, specifically two major pillars of the game: combat and exploration. So if you’ve been a bit hesitant on the game, or weren't quite sure how it would actually play, hopefully these will help you out.

In all honesty, the entire game is looking more and more like a Mass Effect-lite game, especially in the combat where you can control your own character or have your companions perform special moves and abilities through commands. You can even upgrade your gear and abilities of yourself and your crew.

Either way, it’s not long now until we can actually get our hands on it as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy launches on October 26th 2021, which is just a month away now. We have yet to see some official system requirements, but it will support ray tracing and DLSS, so hopefully it won’t be too demanding on mid-range hardware.

What do you think? Are you excited for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy? Have these gameplay trailers helped you understand it more? What other Marvel properties would you love to see a video game of? Let us know!

Looks good, interesting, and better than that Marvel Avengers game

Wonder if this will be a success or flop?

The combat looks a lot more polished and the jank from the inital reveal is gone. Unless trends have changed I reckon that's a good thing. And I love the Guardians.
