The remastered collection of the first two Life is Strange games was due to launch shortly after the recently released sequel, Life is Strange: True Colors. However, it was delayed until an unspecified date in 2022 as the team wanted to focus on True Colors before it launched, but now Square Enix has confirmed an official launch date.

Life is Strange Remastered Collection is now launching on February 1st 2022. It includes the original Life is Strange title along with the spin-off Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The collection includes improvements to textures, models, lighting, and most significantly the animation as the new motion capture techniques from True Colors have also been used here as well.

The Life is Strange series has been a cult hit and seen critical as well as fan acclaim since they launched, and although they’ve had their ups and downs, has largely been positive in its reception. The Remastered Collection seems to be a pretty good way of making sure those original 2 titles don’t look as old as they are anymore and can stand next to the modern day releases.

What do you think? Are you excited for Life is Strange: Remastered Collection? Will you be replaying it when it launches? Or will you be playing them for the first time? And how do you feel about the remastered visuals? Let us know!

Looks like a re-color to me. The art style doesn't need a remastering effort, it ages well enough.

Agree, this is obviously a cash grab.
