This week saw the launch of the highly anticipated MMO from Amazon Games. Despite some launch issues, it has seen massive amounts of players flooding the world of Aeternum, to much of its demise. However, whether good or bad, we want to know what your experience has been like for New World in-game and out!
Of course, many of us have spent the majority of our time in queues rather than in the actual game, so we want to know what your experience has been like for both. How long have you waited on average to jump into a server? Has it affected your enjoyment of the game?
More importantly however, we want to know what the experience has been like for you once you actually got into the game itself. Are you enjoying it? Do you normally play MMOs? What does it do differently that you like? What does it do different that you don’t like? How are you finding the story, gameplay, and community?
It’s clear that New World is very popular right now, and players are hungry for a new big MMO as other popular MMOs start to become a bit stale. But is it worth it? We want to hear all your feedback and experiences that you have had with New World, that way this can be a discussion for new players and whether it might be worth it for them too.
What do you think? How are you finding New World so far? Are you enjoying it? Do you play many other MMOs often? What things do you like and dislike about New World? Let’s debate!

I'm staying away from this game until the GPU situation is sorted out
PC Specs
Not playing at all. Some people are reporting it's still killing GPUs
PC Specs
Didn't try option is needed in the poll as the poll will get wrong votes just to see results.
PC Specs
cant play at all. Maybe tomorrow morning but holy !^%# my chosen server is !^%#ed.

Longest queue I had was about 15 minutes, this was about an hour and a half after US East opened, and I saw the queue before I joined so I wasn't shocked.
Same server though later that night was 2000+. Sat in it for 15 and moved up ~200, just as I was waiting they opened 28 new servers, so I dropped out and started a new character. No issues getting in at all since then.
Largest queue line I've seen was US East Valhalla server was at about 28000 the day after release. It's now at 2000.
My biggest problem right now is people are already pretty toxic in factions lol I got almost screamed at by a company leader because I was solo questing instead of protecting the fort that was being attacked. Like.. I get it, but.. Let's relax, fellas. There's gonna be casuals. Not that I'm a casual, but I gotta progress at some point lol when I'm playing solo, I'm mostly gonna quest, not PVP. When my friends are on, I'll get on that stuff.
Enjoying the game so far though. I wanted a MMO to dive back into so this came around at the right time for me.

so here on the EU servers i started the game about 30 mins or so after launch, no issues, but that evening queue were around 300-500 with about a 45 min wait time. by the morning of day 2 i waited for 8hrs in a 3400~ queue while i watched the new Final Space series, start to finish. and walked the dog. and cooked for the kids. had a nap. day 3 i saw queues of 2500~ and 30+ new server dropped in UE so i made another char on a low pop server, not going to be much PvP here but at least i can play. the issue is if the servers are capped to 2000 players then why the hell are they letting more char than that be made on each server? i get they want to max the population of each server through as many hrs of the day as they can and people play at different times. but i saw an aussie server with 25000 players in a queue. that's just stupid
PC Specs
I do believe they cut new character creation from high pop servers for the time being. They also announced they will be raising the player cap (which imo is a bad idea unless they fix resource spawn times and AI Boss spawn times). It's getting very hard to farm right now just because you're competing with like groups of 5+ for one resource node that spawns every 5 minutes. Kinda ridiculous. I get the game is supposed to be competitive but it's a bit much.
PC Specs
this is another reason i think im just going to stay on mid pop server. fps is going to tank in town even further, resources are going to me even more scarce. raising player pop on the server is an awful idea
PC Specs
I wish I could see the numbers for what the open beta server cap was. It had to have been higher than what we got on release. If they increase player count, it should only be maybe another 250 at most imo. Once the higher level places get populated by players, it's gonna be a little bare in the lower level places. I was nearly soloing cutlass keys 2 days ago. Like.. I think I say 5 total players in the town. And even now (after my faction took it over) it's STILL very low when I'm around there, as it's a 25-40 zone I believe. So... I think once higher level players are around, the world will feel a little empty with only 2k.
I guess it's tricky to judge these things though, but that's what the betas were for. And they have had several play test previously.

I am not finding any New World so far as I am perfectly satisfied with the current world I have without insane grind and microtransactions. Also the second question in the poll has a typo.
PC Specs
what micro transactions? there is like 5 skins in the game, nothing any different to any other game there days. its not pay to win lol
PC Specs
The issue does not lie with 'only 5 skins in the game' but rather with there are micro-transactions in a paid-for game at all. And just because other games are doing it too doesn't make it right. I thought that point was already clear. Also those 5 skins will frow to 500 at some point so please don't defend that. Ask for better instead.
PC Specs
or just let people buy if they want and not care? i really don't have a problem if some bro wants a joke skin for his armour, just like weapon skins in cs:go. it doesn't affect me if someone wants to spend their cash on it. i think id rather this at 30 quid and have a skin shop for those that want to pay for them rather than pay for each WoW expansion plus monthly fee.
PC Specs
Yea honestly, I don't see the issue with skin microtransactions, whether the game is free or not. If people wanna buy them, they will. If they don't, they won't.
There's 0 pay to win mechanics in the game.
Ask for better? Explain that, because it just sounds bitter.

@ shuffl2me
Regarding your second comment, you must understand I do not have a problem with letting things be and my comment here isn't going to change anything. I made the comment because its not about the money, its about the principle. If a game has a price tag, ten you should get the total product when you pay for it.
Don't worry though as I realize I am in the minority and what I am asking for is something from the past. Just because something exists the way it does as of now doesn't make it right. The game companies can get away with as much sh!t as they pull because they have spent the last decade and a half not developing great games but developing a great audience who is accepting of the sh!t they pull now which they couldn't do 15 years ago. That's where the real money went.

Better to Bitter? Good you can rhyme. Here, have a cookie.

why are poll results locked/not shown until you vote? I didn't play this game yet I still might to know what others think about it. I'm guessing there are others like me as well which means the poll results are not fully correct if some people just vote whatever so they can see the results.
PC Specs
Yeah I hope they listen to the feedback..
I don't know how many options they can add, but adding one for those who haven't played it would be useful until they can implement a proper way to just show results.
PC Specs
That's the first thing I suggested, to not lock results.
I only want to see them.
So many of the polls got bull!^%# votes from me (and others) just so I could see the results.
PC Specs
How about you just try it out and have your own opinion instead of being influenced by others.
PC Specs
The point being made is that if you just wanna see what people are thinking about the game you cant unless you vote.So people that are curious enough are gonna have to vote without having played the game and have a valid opinion.
PC Specs
why would I spend money and time on a game that might not be good just to form my "own opinion" about it? Getting to know other people's opinions is a way I can judge if the game is worth getting or not in the first place, like if 95% people voted it's a !^%# game then most likely I'd never consider getting it.
PC Specs
You'd do it just so you won't be a weak-minded drone easily impressed by others. Before buying I'd just watch a gameplay and decide, not necessarily wait for opinions.
PC Specs
lol yea who reads reviews of products before they spend there money🤔
