We’re now two weeks into October, the official month of spooks and scares, and so what better way to capture the feeling than a new action zombie shooter? That’s right, this week saw the release of the spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead franchise known as Back 4 Blood, but what do you think of it?

We want to know your opinions and thoughts on the latest release of Back 4 Blood. As mentioned above it’s been touted as the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, one of the most beloved franchises of all time. So does it hit the mark? Or has the series been left for dead?

Good or bad, we want to hear it all. Generally, B4B has been getting positive reviews from critics, but fans are a little divided. There are some issues present that many players have expressed, namely the limited nature of solo play, with some content locked out just because you don’t want to play with strangers.

It’s all valid criticism for solo players, but is there more to it than that? Most importantly: is it a fun game? Despite issues, if the game is fun then isn’t that enough? Of course, we’d love to hear all your opinions but also would like to hear your experience and how you played it! And of course leave out any spoilers for potential new players please!

So what do you think of Back 4 Blood so far? Have you been enjoying it? Have you played mostly single or multiplayer? How do you feel about the cosmetics and card building systems? And have you tried the versus mode yet? Let’s debate!

What do you think of Back 4 Blood so far?

Have you played mostly single player or multiplayer?

Is Back 4 Blood really a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead?

No reason to buy it if you already own L4D2. L4D2 is already better in every way. Specially server and netcode wise. Which is really sad considering it's age compared to Back 4 Blood

I tried it with friends, it's okay (very boring if you play solo). It's fun, a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead but I was expecting more. Feels too much like an old game with new graphics.

my friend and i tried the beta and it was kind of boring idk why since its pretty much same as l4d, some minor problems we noticed are with zombies or whatever are they called in the game are kind of dead like their AI is kind of bad, special zombies dont feel like anything special just a zombie with more hp

It's a great time and laugh with friends. The lack of a versus mode is kind of disappointing, but the corruption card and deck building system give the game some staying power. I haven't had this much fun in a long time.

Is it worth purchasing solo?

The game is pretty drab and probably pointless if you're flying solo. Although that is just my opinion. I have a friend that is perfectly content with trying to clear the hardest difficulty with just bots! Cheers happy gaming :)

From what i´ve seen it will have no where close the staying power of Left 4 Dead (2). No versus mode...such a missed opportunity. I expect no one to be talking about this game next year.

Needs player hosted servers, mods and vs mode. Then perfect.
