It seems that Volition is desperately trying to win over the fans by regularly releasing new gameplay videos for their upcoming reboot of the Saints Row series. This time we get a tour for a few of the districts that you can find in the new open world of Santo Ileso, which you can check out below.

A staple of open world design in video games today is the addition of world districts: distinct areas of an open world with their own specific visual design and cast of characters/enemies. The upcoming Saints Row Reboot includes 15 districts in total. We don’t get to see them all in this video, but the ones shown off are very important as they are the main territories of each enemy faction.

There are 3 enemy factions in the Saints Row Reboot: Los Panteros, Marshall, and The Idols. The Los Panteros control the Rancho Provedencia territory, whilst Marshall controls Lakeshore, and finally The Idols own the district of Monte Vista. Hopefully we’ll get to see more of the remaining 12 districts in Saints Row 2022, and at this rate it seems like we won’t be waiting long.

What do you think? Are you excited for the Saints Row Reboot? How do you feel about the new open world of Santo Ileso? What about the enemy factions and their own districts? Let us know your thoughts!

What do you think of the new open world of Saints Row Reboot so far?

Just look at X4 Egosoft Deepsilver, they took the worst mechanics from X Rebirth and put them all in X4 then ignored the entire player bases Rage at being ignored.

I had over 1300 hours in X3 (yes I was a X fanboy at one time no longer after all the failures) the game was nigh unplayable when it was released and took years of modders working constantly to make it playable. Yet again the Devs are waiting on the modders to fix there mistakes or perhaps there outright laziness in X4. May be a different game entirely but the same premise stands it isn't going well and I wouldn't hold out hope for a decent game.

Saints Row is trying to be edgy while also trying to be PC and tell a story about crime and it looks to be failing hard at all three. And as of late the writing of characters in recent games is either too stiff or so over-the-top whacky that it just doesn't fit the bill like in FC6 and it looks like that's the case here too. It is so cringe.

Deep Silver Volition have completely lost touch with its player base. Someone needs to tell them that the average age of a gamer is 35 not 15. And even 15 year want to fulfill the fantasy of playing like badasses in games and not as 15 year olds otherwise that would just be real-life simulator.

Politically Correct. They fell the humor in their past games is too edgy and insensitive and they want to tell a story which is more in line with recent times as if their previous games came out in the 1800s. This is as per their recent media outings not my personal opinion except the 1800s part.
