Around this time last year, developers Starward Industries - comprised of former developers from CD Projekt Red - announced a new sci-fi action-adventure thriller based on the popular novel by Stanislaw Lem. Back then we had very little to see of it bar some early screenshots and a music preview, but now the developers have released the first official teaser trailer.

The Invincible is a Sci-fi thriller that follows Yasna, a scientist on the planet Regis III in the Lyra constellation. You awaken with little memory of what happened, except that you must now search for your missing crew. Your actions will have consequences it seems, and the choices you make will affect the story and characters within it.

I have to say that those first few screenshots we got really didn’t let down the art style of this game, based on the teaser above. It’s all deliciously 60’s retrofuturism, also known as Atompunk. Unfortunately, last year we were told The Invincible would be launching sometime in 2021, but that date has now been pushed back to 2022. Hopefully we’ll see more of the game over the coming months.

What do you think! Are you excited for The Invincible? How do you feel about the first teaser trailer? Have you read the original novel? Let us know!
