Call of Duty zombies is fastly growing, from being a simple niche side mode, to another pillar of the Call of Duty franchise. For the first time in the series’ history, Treyarch is back to develop the zombies game mode in the next Call of Duty game launching next month, and we recently got our first official look including actual gameplay.
From the looks of it, Call of Duty: Vanguard will launch with a zombies mode that seems a lot like Outbreak which debuted in Black Ops Cold War. Obviously this will give Treyarch more time to develop a proper story map soon after Vanguard’s launch, as the final zombies map for Black Ops Cold War was only just released. Check out the first trailer for Call of Duty Vanguard zombies below:
It’s definitely a departure from the style that was introduced in BOCW, but Vanguard will be taking everything from the last game and elevating on them. Thankfully, an extended video below gives us more details:
We are less than a month away from the launch of COD Vanguard, so we’re unlikely to see more from zombies before launch. That said though, there’s still a lot of stuff we don’t know about it, namely customization and progression, and whether there will be other maps/modes within zombies at launch apart from Deranfang. So maybe there’s hope we’ll see more in the coming weeks.
