It's time to save the galaxy... nearly, as the official game based on the popular Guardians of the Galaxy comics is finally coming out in a week's time. So far we haven't heard anything about what kind of PC specs we'll need, especially since the game will support ray tracing and DLSS at launch.

Thankfully, Square Enix has revealed the official PC system requirements for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and they are surprisingly quite demanding. Unfortunately we weren't given any performance expectations for each, and neither have we received specs for ray tracing, so hopefully Square Enix will expand on them before launch.

So let's jump right in an take a look at the official Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy system requirements...

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy minimum system requirements

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy minimum system requirements

In order to run Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy on High graphics settings your PC will need at least a GTX 1660 Super or RX 590 graphics card, paired with either a Core i7-4790 or Ryzen 5 1600 processor. Your system will also need 16GB of RAM to meet the recommended specs, which should then run at 60fps.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy needs a GTX 1060 or RX 570 GPU along with a Core i5-4460 or Ryzen 5 1400 CPU in order to meet the minimum system requirements. This setup should then achieve 30fps performance on Low graphics settings at 1080p. You will also need at least 8GB of system memory.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarks and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

It is strange that the GPU VRAM is the same on minimum and recommended settings.

1060 for minimum and 1660 for recommended shows that there is not a lot of scalability throughout different hardware. Either that or 1660 will be used like the new 1060 offering you 1080p 30 FPS but every publisher will use it as recommended because they need to shift copies and not everyone has an RTX 99999. Oh yeah it could also mean its not optimized very well.

But I am still looking forward to this as it looks fun!!

Not demanding at all. Anything that is weaker than a PS5 or Xbox Series X is not demanding.

Recommended are not demanding at all, the minimum a bit high but not crazy since the 1060 is a 5 year old midrange gpu
