After a brief mess up with the storage requirements the first time round, Square Enix has now revealed the updated PC system requirements for their upcoming galactic Action-Adventure based on the ragtag misfits of the one and only Guardians of the Galaxy. This time they've also thankfully included the ray tracing requirements and quality settings for each spec.

Obviously, the storage requirements for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy have dropped from 150GB to 80GB like the developers said before, but nothing else has changed for the original PC specs. The only other difference here is that we now know what each spec was aiming for in terms of quality settings, and considering the recommended requirements now list a GTX 1660 Super for 1440p High graphics settings, they're not as demanding as we thought before...

Nvidia didn't provide the requirements for AMD hardware though, understandably, so unfortunately we'll either have to wait and see if AMD provides their own specs, or you'll have to test out the game yourself and see how it goes. It is possible that they simply aren't powerful enough, as Marvel's GotG does not includes support for AMD FSR, but considering these specs are likely without DLSS enabled then the latest AMD hardware should be able to run ray tracing, albeit at lower graphics settings.

Square Enix also released a new trailer featuring how all the ray tracing effects come together and enhance the visual experience, which you can check out below.

So with that out of the way let's dive in and take a look at the updated Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy PC system requirements...

Ray Tracing OFF

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy minimum system requirements - 1080p / Low graphics

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy recommended system requirements - 1440p / High graphics

Ray Tracing ON

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy RT Minimum system requirements - 1080p / Low graphics / RT High

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy RT High system requirements - 1440p / High graphics / RT Very High

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy RT Ultra system requirements - 4K / Ultra graphics / RT Ultra

You will need at least a GTX 1660 Super or RX 590 graphics card paired with either a Core i7-4790 or Ryzen 5 1600 processor in order to meet the Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy recommended system requirements, running at 1440p resolution on High graphics settings. You will also need at least 16GB of RAM.

Looking at the minimum system requirements for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, you will need either a GTX 1060 or RX 570 GPU with a Core i5-4460 or Ryzen 5 1400 CPU. This setup will then achieve 1080p resolution on Low graphics settings. You will also need 8GB of system memory to run.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarks and performance from other users. Why wanked? An old quad-core CPU and an older mid-range card to run the game, upgraded to a newer midrange card for 1440p High. Sounds fine to me.

in vast majority of cases official system requirements are out of whack and imbalanced between manufacturers or are targeted at very broad visual and framrate targets. So you can ignore most of them
