For years fans have been waiting to see the Uncharted video game series brought to life on the big screen, and now Sony has finally granted that with the first official trailer for the upcoming Uncharted movie. Starring Tom Holland as the titular Nathan Drake, Uncharted launches in theatres on February 18th 2022.

It might be a bit surreal for longtime fans as well, because the trailer seems to be focusing on the origins of Nathan Drake in all its young-adult style, yet also seems to recreate iconic setpieces from each of the main games. So is this a retelling of all 4 games? A reboot? A sequel?? It’s all a little confusing, but you can check out the trailer below:

Of course, Sony couldn’t help to advertise that the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is coming to PC in 2022. Annoyingly, it's unlikely we’ll see it release before the movie, but it would certainly make a lot of sense for PC players who haven’t been able to play the Uncharted titles, especially considering the movie seems to be heavily influenced by the latest mainline entry, Uncharted 4, but we'll have to wait and see.

What do you think? Are you excited for the Uncharted movie? How do you feel about the trailer? Does it look interesting to you? How do you feel about the casting? Let us know!

What do you think of the Uncharted movie trailer?

Haven't played the game nor watched a full gameplay walkthrough of the uncharted series, but this trailer does seem like a good adventure. Actors choice could've been better, not that the actors are bad, but I've seen them so often in movies that I can't connect them to the roles they play.

Uncharted is practically Indiana Jones if you think about it.

I really don't like the casting. Ideally, I would have wanted Nathan Fillion to play Drake and Jeff Bridges to play Sully.

Even tho i never actually played Uncharted series (only watched 1st and 2nd game) i gotta say, that spider-man dude (i can't even remember his name, had too look it up lol) is a mistake for Nathan Drake character imo... actually Mark would have been a better choice but i think we all know which actor most of us wanted to see as Nathan Drake.

It looks like Uncharted fans will not like this movie one bit, i mean just look at those yt comments lol

Just stop putting that baby non-charismatic douche in every movie, especially a special game movie adaptation like this one where they'll ruin it and turn it into a money-milking trilogy of no originality

Tom Holand just doesn't strike me as a Nathan Drake, at all.

I haven't even played the games at all, but from all the things i've seen about the series and the main character, Tom Holand just really ain't it.

Yup, someone like Chiris Hemsworth(if he lost some muscle mass) or Henry Cavill would have been better.

I would say even someone like Channing Tatum would be a better choice.

Can't reply directly t you.

I agree, there are many other actors that would be great for the role, but just like Tatum, they are all quite older than they should be for Nathan Drake, especially if Sony plans on making more than one movie.

IDK what happened, but there are no manly young male actors left it seems. They are either goofy, soy, or out of shape or all of the above.

Perhaps sony wanted to make it as trilogy, so young actor will be much helpful in the upcoming years..but Tom really looks like babyface for this role.

I would choose one of these actors..Tyler Posey Frank Grillo Andrew Garfield

If age would not matter, definitely Frank..both humor and agility

Garfield would have been an amazing choice, a sarcastic smart ass is something that he would totally have pulled off amazingly. that being said TOM has some impressive acting chops so seeing the younger take on him is interesting not somthing i was really looking for but !^%# why not?
