Recently, Frogwares showed off the combat side of gameplay in their upcoming Sherlock Holmes game, but that’s only half the toolset at your disposal. Of course, the other half (and the more iconic half) is of course the detective gameplay, and thankfully the developers have given us just that.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One launches on November 16th, and seems to be a considerable upgrade over Frogwares’ previous ventures in the Sherlock Holmes series, taking inspiration from many different takes on the Holmes and Watson dynamic duo. Check out the new detective gameplay below:

If you’ve enjoyed any of the previous Sherlock Holmes titles by Frogwares, then it seems like the new title will be right up your alley, with improvements made to the core gameplay in both combat and detective work. Thankfully, as a younger Holmes you have the chance to make mistakes, and you won’t see a game over screen for doing so.

What do you think? Are you excited for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One? What do you think of the detective gameplay above? Does it look better than the previous games? Let us know!

What do you think of the detective gameplay in Sherlock Holmes Chpater One?

Looking great. I have been playing The Sinking City (their last game) but the "hostile areas" seem really repetitive and uninspired. I am so glad that this game will focus more in classic detective investigations and dialogue :D
