The next Battlefield game boasts some of the biggest maps in the franchise, in part thanks to the increased player cap of 128. So far we’ve only seen the maps in screenshot form, as well as snippets from other gameplay trailers and a better look at one specific map during the recent Beta.
But a new trailer gives us more gameplay on 3 out of 7 of the other maps you’ll find in Battlefield 2042 at launch: Renewal, Breakaway and Discarded. Presumably we’ll get more gameplay for the other 3 maps (the 7th being Orbital, which was the map in the Beta), but for now you can check out these ones below:
It’s a pretty short clip unfortunately, but they definitely show off the kind of size and scope we might expect in BF2042 at launch. Although it remains to be seen whether launch will be better than the Beta, as many players complained about bland and empty map design. But at least the environments look pretty varied, shame we didn’t get to see more dynamic weather in action though.
What do you think? Are you excited for Battlefield 2042? How do you feel about the maps gameplay above? Which one of the 3 above are you most interested in playing? And how do you feel about the map design overall? Let us know!
