After many rumors and speculation, the next major expansion for the latest entry in the Assassins Creed franchise has finally been officially revealed, taking players to the more fantastical side of Norse mythology. Additionally, some free new content is also dropping today, with the first ever crossover story between two AC games.

Assassins Creed: Valhalla - Dawn of Ragnarok launches on March 10th, and will follow Eivor as Odin in the dwarven realm of Svartalfheim. It will include brand new abilities and story content in “the most ambitious expansion in franchise history”. You can check out the official cinematic trailer below:

One of the key elements of the vision of Dawn of Ragnarök is to make players engage with the world and its inhabitants; to encourage players to observe and explore the world, and to experiment with the challenges we offer them,” Ubisoft said. “The powers that Odin can acquire from defeated enemies will allow players to traverse the vast world and create opportunities that were not possible before.

Along with the announcement of Dawn of Ragnarok though, Ubisoft also revealed the first-ever crossover event between two Assassins Creed games. Releasing today for free to all owners of the base game, Eivor from Assassins Creed: Valhalla will meet Kassandra from Assassins Creed: Odyssey. Both games have received a free quest available now.

What do you think? Are you excited for Assassins Creed Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok? Have you played any of the other DLCs? What did you think of them? How do you feel about more content for AC Valhalla? And what do you think of the free crossover story? Are you interested? Let us know!

Ubisoft please stop!! This is not Assassin's Creed! I feel sad to know that the company I used to work for and supported for so many years is becoming the new "cash grab guy with less to 0 new ideas"..

If you really love fantasy so much, just make a new IP but don't ruin our beloved series!!

Considering that originally the first AC was supposed to be a "Prince of Persia", it does not surprise me that this Avengers title is called "Assassin's Creed" for brand recognition purposes.

At this point there's no shame in sailing for ubi and craptivision games. The actual devs don't see a penny anyway, they don't get compensated for the torture - so why line the corpo pig pockets...

What has this series come to? From historical fiction to freaking fantasy elements like giants and Ragnarok.

Come on now, don't sound so surprised... its Ubi$cam... "most" know very well that there is only one thing they are interested in $$$ and when a company is driven by that alone, there is a low chance for a quality video-game.

Assassin's Creed died probably with AC: Rogue (i personally skipped AC: Unity and did not even bother after that lol). ACIV: Black Flag was the last game i played and somewhat liked it (played AC: Rogue but never finished it).

The 1st 4 AC games are the only true AC games that actually stick to the lore (and it was very very good, even the modern aspect) and the best ones imo, everything started to go downhill with ACIII... you could just feel they lost it and just said: fak it lets go full fantasy just to spite the diehard fans at that point! And here we are xD

Don't be shocked when they announce the new "AC: Unicorn Whisperer (10,000 B.C. Edition)"

This is why i have little to no hope for Splinter Cell... its DOA!

I don]t get why people are excited for Dwn of Ragnarok - a paid piece-meal content even if you own the Season Pass or Ultimate Super Duper Edition! Also the franchise has gone into the gutter as all of this 'new' sh!t seems like any generic RPG where you fight a fire giant or some sh!t like that.

Can't wait to see ubicrap add NFTs to AC, maybe sell a numbered blade or something 🤣
