A buddy of mine gifted me the MHRise for PC so I'm definitely gonna get down on it.

I really don't care when they're out, since I'd still have to wait 6-18months for a proper launch (bugfixes, etc) and a good price anyway.

I'm sure they do and some games (like Diablo II Resurrected) I did pick up at launch, seeing how the technical state was already great and I really wanted to play it (and boy did I..). But for the most part - game launches are a disappointment. Plus I have such a massive library of games, spanning multiple decades and systems in my backlog - I don't really need to pay the full asking price for anything. The games are competing for MY time and I don't care for "FOMO", so I get to choose what and when I pick up and what I'm willing to pay. If some company gets my attention sooner - well good on them, but I'm not gonna hype for anything 😁

I have played so many games that FOMO can't exist for now, but I'm still happy to play new ones and I pay full price only for the ones I really like.

How do you know that you really like something before trying it? I don't know if I will enjoy everything I buy (even if the reviews are glowing), so I try and grab stuff on a sale to lessen any expectations/disappointment. If you pay full price for something - that means it's new and you're putting trust in it, either from reviews (which isn't always a good indicator on whether you will personally enjoy the particular piece of content) or having tried a pirated copy/demo first.

Surprised to see so many people are excited for PoP Remake after what they've shown. I honestly thought it got cancelled.

I sure hope it gets cancelled, I don't want to my favorite childhood series being erased and replaced with inferior versions.

Man 2022 looks bleak for games. Glad I saved on buying an overpriced GPU.

I don't think it's bleak at all, but then again many of my favorite or liked franchises and many of my favorite developers are brining out new games.

I am glad you are looking forward to some of the games coming out. Its always good that there are takers for every different kind of game out there. But apart from Prince of Persia nothing else excites me from this list and even the PoP game looks underwhelming to me but that is just Ubisoft being Ubisoft. Maybe I will like some of the new stuff coming out but as of right now nothing is ding it for me that much.

Well all of the franchises above, except for Avatar and the new one Nightingale have had excellent games in the past or are made by the same people who've had fantastic franchises in the past, sonic might be bad, because sonic is very hit or miss, but the rest seem to be really solid. entries in their francises and elden ring is well elden ring, looks like an epic game.
