The RPG genre is one of the most popular amongst video games, and rightly so because they offer the chance for players to become immersed in a huge world, and make decisions that can potentially affect the entire story. 2022 is set to be a big year for gaming, and with it we’ll be getting a bunch of new games to sink hundreds of hours into again.
Ranging from Sci-Fi to Fantasy to a soviet-style atompunk-ish post apocalyptic surreal adventure. There’s a lot to look forward to in terms of new Role Playing games next year. Though there are some games which we’d like to see come out next year that unfortunately don’t have a release date yet (looking at you, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2), and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the official release of Baldur’s Gate 3’s. So with that said, here are our picks for the most anticipated RPGs of 2022…
-------------
Starfield
-------------
Baldurs Gate 3
-------------
Hogwarts Legacy
-------------
Atomic Heart
-------------
Elex 2
-------------
And that’s it for our picks on the most anticipated RPGs of 2022. Vote for your favorite one in the poll just underneath, and if it’s a game that’s not mentioned here then let us know in the discussion area below!

No Elden Ring?

Voted for Elex 2 since I love Gothic games. But now that I'm thinking it over Starfield should be more exciting, with space so huge, there are no limitations. Total freedom of fantasy - which is the only thing more complex than our Universe. That could make a sick game if done right. But it's done by Bethesda who likes to limit themselves with trends and political correctness. And seeing what they done to Fallout series it makes me worried.

Like the way Starfield announced their release date.

I'm looking forward to Avowed and The Outher Worlds 2.
Otherwise from this list Hogwarts, Baldur's Gate and Elex might be good as well.

Everything but Baldur's Gate, because i didnt play it

I want to say I'm hyped for Atomic Heart. But if video game development history in the past decade has taught me anything, it's to temper your own hype, never pre-order and if the game interests you and is any good, then wait until the first few patches come out.

I have been ragging on every list posted recently as nothing really excited me on those lists. But damn this list is awesome. If all of this is coming then sign me up! (Ok maybe not that excited for ELEX 2 but I am glad that game got a sequiel)

I just finished elex and kinda liked it , but at the start it was really rough , difficulty all over the place sending you to places you cant clear or complete a mission and have to go back wasting your time.

I see. Even reviews for it say that it is a good game but rough around the edges. Hopefully ELEX 2 can polish a lot of that stuff.

None but I'll vote Elex 2 to see the votes since Game-Debate still doesn't have "no vote" -button when we are nearing 2022

Happy New Year Everyone! :D
