We’ve all heard the tales of a new Grand Theft Auto game, a mythical beast we have heard very little about. Many rumors and leaks pointed towards a release date in the 2024 fiscal year, and a new report once again suggests Take-Two is planning for a major spike in revenue during that time, indicating a release of the elusive Grand Theft Auto 6.
Take-Two Interactive recently acquired mobile game developer Zynga for a whopping $12.7 billion. but the important bit is in a press release after the announcement. In a section under “Strategic Rationale and Stockholder Value Creation”, Take-Two noted that “looking ahead, the combined company is expected to deliver a 14% compound annual growth rate… over the three-year period from Take-Two's Fiscal Years 2021 through 2024.”
Essentially, they’re expecting a big chunk of change to come their way in the 2024 fiscal year. An Analyst from Jefferies, an investment banking firm, even said that “there are only a handful of titles that can...provide management with the confidence to put out such a strong guidance; we believe there is at least one Rockstar IP set to be released by FY24.”
The statement was then followed by a quote from Doug Creutz, a research analyst, who more bluntly put it as “a likely GTA 6 launch in FY24.” Which would put Grand Theft Auto VI’s release date somewhere between April 2023 and March 2024. Of course Take-Two has not confirmed this at all.
Obviously it’s all just speculation right now. But when not one, not two, but three previous reports have hinted at a major Rockstar release in 2023/2024, then you know at least something big is happening in that time. At that point it will have been 10/11 years since the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5, which in our eyes is a pretty good time to release a sequel.
Just don’t expect a PC release until a year later at the least.
What do you think? Are you excited for a potential Grand Theft Auto 6? Do you think Rockstar is even developing another GTA, or could this be another project? When do you think it will be released? Let us know!

Those who chose console exclusive must have never played gta before lol because if they did, they would know how much money Rockstar gets from pc side

this looks like crystal ball prediction again...but who cares new gta will be same as the ones before. they should just make something new.

I don't know what to say. After Dice tried something "new" with a close to the heart project, I'd rather Rockstar do the same good thing as before (GTA itself, not the lame relaunches and milking).
PC Specs
but rockstar is already milking GTA, they only make GTA and RDR (which is basically a GTA clone) They are incapable of doing anything else.

To be fair im not that excited now that some peole that made previous GTa left the company.

Well, considering we get rumors about it coming this year pretty much annually and they are always saying how they are right this time, I will just wait till we hear official word. It is coming, no doubt, just I wouldn't say this year. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if PC version got delayed as usual. Though this time it might be maximizing microtransactions with online versus profits from double dipping. I doubt they won't have anything online to go with it and microtransactions work best when you cast widest net.
Anyway, I just hope singleplayer portion will be solid, since I am all about that. Not interested in online. At least not more than maybe having optional ability for friend to jump in for bit of co-op fun. Though I haven't touched online in GTA V or RDR2.

If they have a singleplayer option

All i want is to be next-gen only. I am sure if it can surpass the GTA V though,

As we haven't even seen a trailer, it's at least 2+ years ahead (and hopefully they will again take their time optimizing the PC port!!)

At this point no year is early and I also don't care about GTA in the slightest XD

Can't wait for online mode to fly using Roller Skates with rockets attached to it
