As if anyone is surprised that the PC platform is the best place for gaming, a new graphics comparison video for the latest PlayStation PC port release showcases superior quality compared to the console versions, even on a 4 year old game. Plus, ultrawide support seems to almost completely transform the experience.
We are of course talking about God of War, which has been the most successful PlayStation PC port so far. Thanks to ElAnalistaDeBits on YouTube once again for creating the comprehensive comparison video, which not only gives a look at the differences between the console and PC versions, but also the quality of DLSS and FSR at different modes.
Perhaps the most dramatic differences you can see in the God of War PC version is the Shadows, Draw Distance, Fog, and Reflections - at least when cranked up to Ultra - all settings that the PC excels at compared to consoles, so no real big surprise there. But it is nice to at least see the PC getting some love for higher-end quality settings.
Oh, and if you needed any more of a reason as to why the PC platform is the best place to play God of War, just take a look at the official Ultrawide trailer Sony put out just before release, and soak in those stunning views with a wider field of view. Coupled with the no-cut camera perspective, and you have a truly cinematic experience:
What do you think? Are you enjoying God of War on PC? How do you feel about the graphics comparison video above? How much better does the PC version look compared to the console version?

Mixed High Ultra settings 1080p Fidelity Cas 30 fps, second round in GMGOW after beat with ps now a few days ago. the game is much more impressive than the ps4 stream (in tlou2 stream you could choose ps4 pro, but not in gow) The aged generations of gpus they continue to hold out until the new ones drop below €1000
PC Specs
Pretty much max settings, 4k DLSS on balanced to keep smooth 60 fps at all times

Ultra, DLSS: Quality, 70-100fps. Great game, great graphics. Can't enjoy it enough :) :) :)
PC Specs
what resolution? I'm getting 60-100 with High/Ultra on 1440p with Quality DLSS. Your profile says you have 1080p so 70-100 seems kind of low in that case

Where is the option for Custom Preset? I get GD is building a BIG DATA database on gaming opinions buit the options to the polls leave a lot wanting.

Just what i wanted to say... thank you!

playing on minimum on VEGA 8, still looks impressive
PC Specs
Playing on original at above 60fps, I'm happy.

I'm playing on tweaked ultra. The extended shadows are nice, but they're a resource hog and I actually prefer the slightly softer shadows of Original-High vs Ultra.
PC Specs
Resource Hog Has A 3090 😂
PC Specs
Having a 3090 doesn't magically make me not care about framerates, you know ;)
PC Specs
Pretty Sure Ur Framerates Are Well Over 60 at 4k maxed out without DLSS
PC Specs
Yes, but you don't buy a high refresh display to play at 60 or just above that.
Edit: I ended up playing on ultra. I'll suck up the fps loss. High shadows look fine for the most part until I figured that my foliage looks a bit...flat...so I turn on Ultra and the difference is MASSIVE. The high settings sucks (even though I liked the softer shadows) :/
PC Specs
As long as the 1% low are over 45fps im happy
