After a long year of silence, Warner Brothers has finally given us the first look at official gameplay in their upcoming Harry Potter RPG. It’s safe to say that this is one of the most anticipated games of the year, we were even fortunate enough to get an estimated release window already…
Hogwarts Legacy is officially launching in Holiday 2022, at least if all goes well. There have been rumors that the game was delayed into 2023, but WB Games has stuck by their goal of a 2022 release. Hopefully we’ll get a proper release date soon, but for now you can at least enjoy 14 minutes of brand new gameplay:
Fans of the Harry Potter series will be happy to know that certain staples of the franchise will be featured in the game: after creating a character you will be sorted into a house, you’ll have to attend magic classes to increase your skills, and a multitude of other activities like quidditch and mysteries to discover in and around the school grounds.
Unfortunately we don’t know when we’ll get to see more of Hogwarts Legacy. Hopefully during the E3 2022/Summer of gaming news Warner Bros. will decide to give a more detailed look. There won’t be any microtransactions or online co-op, and if you want some more insight into the title then here’s an extra 6 minutes of commentary from the developers:
What do you think? Are you excited for Hogwarts Legacy? What did you think of the gameplay revealed above? Does it look like what you expected? What things would you or would you not like to see in a Harry Potter RPG? Let us know!

was it safe to say Hogwarts Legacy was the culmination of HP titles in one and in UE5? just noticed Deathly Hollows back 2011, and the gameplay dna shows. i also prefer this over Forspoken even tho i aint an HP fan, as based from Forspoken was aiming for is already been done by Dragons Dogma.

This seems fantastic. Can't wait to VR mod and wander in there.

my favorite npc so far based on the trailers is the herbology teacher. Really like her appearance and voice.
And what i miss, and hope that still comes, is quidditch :)

I don't know how this is going to run on Nintendo Switch (hopefully not a cloud version)

looks good and looks like it could be interesting for exploring but it seems super boring for some reason
