Who knew that in 2022 one of the most anticipated games of the year would be an MMO Survival game set in a zombie-infested post-apocalypse. The genre trope has been around for a long time and has seemingly done its part, yet the upcoming MMO is currently the most wishlisted game on Steam right now. But what kind of hardware is needed to play The Day Before?

Thankfully, despite looking like a pretty demanding game, The Day Before PC system requirements are surprisingly not very demanding. Of course there are no ray tracing specs yet, which will be sure to be pretty high looking at the RTX trailer below, so we'll update the requirements when they are revealed.

But first, let's take a look at the official The Day Before PC system requirements...

The Day Before minimum system requirements

The Day Before recommended system requirements

Your PC will need a graphics card that is as powerful as a GTX 1060 or RX 580, paired with either a Core i5-6600K or Ryzen 5 1600 processor in order to match The Day Before recommended system requirements. This setup should then deliver around 60fps performance on High graphics settings at 1080p resolution. The recommended amount of RAM required is 16GB.

Taking a look at The Day Before minimum system requirements you will need a GTX 960 or R7 370 GPU along with a Core i5-4430 or FX-6300 CPU. This setup will likely then achieve around 30fps on Low graphics settings at 1080p. You will also need at least 10GB of system memory.

Overall, looking at the specs above, the recommended system requirements for The Day Before will need around a 6 year old PC to run.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the The Day Before System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarks and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the The Day Before GPU benchmark chart and we also have a The Day Before Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

from my use of unreal engine 4.27 and 5.0.1 i get about 30% higher fps in 5.0.1. now i'm no Dev but if i have got more performance with stuff like Lumen and Nanite then i would assume someone that actually knows what they are doing would prob squeeze even more that 30% out of unreal 5

As long as they don't push for higher quality graphics that is.
